Dr. James B. Joseph — known to many as Brother James — has been ministering to people for over forty years. Over time he has come to understand and respond to many of the most important spiritual questions of our time, many of which are answered within his books.
Dr. Joseph has achieved a high level of education and has completed considerable research that helps him understand the Bible more intricately than most including the first-century Mediterranean world in which Jesus lived. No More Walls! provides an in-depth study of Ephesians 2:11-22 shedding light on God’s desired unity among all who commit to following Jesus Christ. Jesus’ atoning death provides destruction of any of Satan inspired hostilities between Jew (Judeans) and Gentile (the rest of the world) for all who obediently follow Him. All Believers alike are to live out their lives as part of a single body, the family of God. Jesus destroyed all hostility just as modern general contractor might destroy a solid dividing “party-wall,” between apartments giving everyone who follows Him the opportunity to work together in godly unity.
- ✓ Through His death on a cross, Jesus provided all who follow Him reconciliation to God and one another;
- ✓ Paul used three common architectural terms of his day to illuminate the following: 1) Jesus and His atoning death has provided destruction for His followers of all their hostilities just as a modern contractor can bring two families physically together in adjoining apartments by taking down the solid common dividing wall; 2) Jesus’ atoning death has reconciled His followers into a single Body in which all parts work together for the good of the Body; 3) Jesus’ atoning death allows God to live in all of His followers through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit; 4) Therefore, there should be no dividing walls of any type between Jesus’ followers as they work together to proclaim the goodness of God through their actions as well as their word.
